Speaking about the outcome of the ESNO congresses of the past three years and debates with nurses at the floor and international leaders, resulting in a campaign program ‘Decade of the Specialist Nurse 2020 -2030’. Elaborating not only about new policy but a revision of health workforce climate change with speciality nurse in efficient and attractive positions. In this presentation the diversity of aspects are touched, the promotion, but also the activities and the essentials of campaigning. What are te themes, requirements, what instruments are used, how stakeholders and nurses can engage with indicators of outcome.

Speaking about the relative new concept ‘Taskshifting’ explaining the essential. Where it is very beneficial, in what domains not with case studies and the European funded Taskshifting program and also the relation with ESNO and opportunities.

Speaking about the ENSO program, Nurses continue to upgrade their learning through formal and informal opportunities to competently perform their role and scope of practice. This means that everybody must see every aspect of their daily work throughout their career in health care as an opportunity to learn, develop and improve. For this reason, diverse forms of credentials, certifications, and reputation markers will reflect the many ways in which people learn and demonstrate mastery.

Discussion and debates with panel and audience
There have seen much transforming health systems over the past years but pandemic has accelerated this immensely, with a shifted on the focus on the health work force, and more than ever before with an emphasis on specialisation of nurses. This debate focusses on the plans of the next ten years and panel members elaborate from their perspective how this would fit into the future European health context. What they want to see achieved with mentioning one or more challenges and how the ESNO campaign can support this process. The debates will also address what conversation need to take place in the long term strategy of the European health and workforce at the end of 2030: what do are we going to see at the end of 2030.

At 1 and 2 June 2023, a full size congress will take place on location in Brussels, and also a celebration of the first mile stone of the Decade of the Specialist Nurse 2020-2030.
